Liverpool are ready to submit a new offer for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. Isak has told Newcastle that he wants to leave in the summer transfer window, and despite Liverpool recently signing French striker Hugo Ekitike, the Premier League champions remain interested in bringing Sweden international marksman Isak to Anfield.
Schira wrote on X: “#Liverpool are ready to submit to #Newcastle a new bid to sign Alexander #Isak. The swedish striker would like to leave #NUFC and has already an agreement in principle with #LFC. Talks in progress. #transfers”
Isak has been at Newcastle since 2022 and has been superb for the Magpies for the past three seasons. The striker has played in the UEFA Champions League with the Magpies and also scored in the final of the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool last season, as Newcastle won the trophy.
