Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to join Leeds United

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to join Leeds United as a free agent, according to The Guardian. Calvert-Lewin left Everton at the end of last season after his contract with the Toffees ran out, and the striker will become a new Leeds player soon.

The report has claimed that Calvert-Lewin is undergoing a medical with Leeds, and should everything go through, the 28-year-old striker will become the West Yorkshire club̢۪s eighth new signing of the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United, who will play in the Champions League this season after finishing in the top five of the Premier League table in the 2024-25 campaign, has considered Calvertâ€'Lewin,  but the Magpies felt that the 28-year-old striker was too injury-prone. There had also been rumours that Calvert-Lewin had been in talks with Manchester United, although it was unlikely that the Toffees were going to bring the striker to Old Trafford, given that they recently completed the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
