As Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu looks to shape his squad, one of the tasks the club has to focus on is keeping their key players. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, departures are expected – LOSC Lille are interested in Benjamin Pavard, as is one of the clubs from the Saudi Pro League. However, the Nerazzurri have rejected offers from the Premier League for Alessandro Bastoni and Davide Frattesi, considering both of them important parts of their plans for the future.
Chelsea approached Inter for Bastoni, putting €50million on the table as an initial proposal, but Inter rejected the offer and made it immediately clear that it would be pointless for Chelsea to continue with their efforts to sign the 26-year-old defender.
As for Frattesi, it was Newcastle who made contact and presented a proposal, but as with Bastoni, Inter weren’t interested in opening any discussions. The Magpies, however, might try again before the window closes.
