Napoli are set to push hard to complete the signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United as soon as possible, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Romelu Lukaku, a former Manchester United man himself, has suffered a relatively serious muscle injury and will undergo surgery, which will rule him out of action for at least three months and reduce the strength of Napoli’s attacking line significantly, unless a new man comes in to fill the void.
For that reason, the Serie A champions are determined to seal the deal for Hojlund, as soon as Monday if possible. The Denmark international has given his approval to the transfer, but figures are yet to be agreed on, both regarding his salary in Naples and the type and structure of the transfer itself.
United would prefer a permanent sale, having signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer, or at least a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
